Today, on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we pause to honor the pets who’ve touched our lives and left lasting pawprints on our hearts.
The grief of putting my dog down made me wonder how animals process loss—and how much harder it must be for them since they can’t express their feelings the way humans can. That reflection led me to think about what happens to our pets when we’re the ones who pass away. This blog was born from that thought: exploring the options and legal protections available to ensure our pets are cared for and loved, even after we’re gone.
